Pre-production Version Launched!
Hooray! We eventually found the right people to fix the DVD problems and our first run of pre-publication packs is now available. Full production and publication should now take place next year and negotiations have already started.
We are aware that the current DVDs can be hard to navigate on certain DVD players (They will play, but the menu system may not work properly. It should be ok, but we can’t guarantee that at the moment). That is being fixed for the full production version but in the meantime if you are able to play it on a computer of some kind you should have no problems at all. If you do then let us know along with any other comments or suggestions.
The Tudors!
This was unexpected. One of the pilot schools asked if they could have information on how the Morris Hey pack could be used as part of their year 5 Tudor module. Definitely not in the script! Nothing daunted Mike Ruff went down to Bristol for the afternoon and taught 3 classes a couple of Tudor dances that showed how the dancing that they did 400-500 years ago could still be seen in present day traditional dances and giving them great scope for creativity. Maybe we’ll be able to add this as downloadable information in the future meanwhile if anyone else wants to know, “it can be done”
Filming and editing completed!
After a very successful weekend of filming with Fool’s Gambit performing and dancing throughout the whole day, we finally have a completed version of the DVD in our hands and all who have had a chance to see it so far have been impressed.
The schools that took part in our Pilot Projects have all reported favourably too. The comments they made have been reflected in final edit of the booklet.
